An Océanis for life on board

The world's largest shipyard continues to expand its diverse and innovative programme.

In addition to completing the sporty line with the First 27.7 (European Yacht of the Year 2002), the new flagship Bénéteau 57, a fun runabout, the renewal of the French Figaro class and an Océanis 423, the CC (Cockpit Central) mid-cockpit series was also expanded.

Like the flagship, the Océanis 42 CC also surprises with a positive stern. This provides more storage space aft and, above all, a large sunbathing or usable area behind the cockpit. Not only can a dinghy be stored there without any problems, but it is also extremely easy to set up. A special highlight: the transom can be opened using a fold-down bathing platform.

The boat is designed for couples who want to spend a lot of time on the water. Instead of installing many compartments, the interior was designed with two large cabins with their own bathrooms and a smaller saloon for four people.

YACHT tested the boat extensively over a weekend. The report can be found in the new edition which has been available at newsagents since Wednesday 12 February.
